Common Spring!

The snow has finally melted here in Toronto!  The temperature in the last few weeks has been quite capricious, hovering in the positive range then dipping back down into the negatives just as we begin to feel comfortable.  I’ve noticed on my walks to and from work on Queen West that the ground thaw has allowed a few hearty and anxious sprouts to pop up.  This is quite inspiring for me.  Winters are always pretty brutal, and I thrive in the summer.  So seeing the flowers beginning their growing season is kind of like a promise that things are only going to get better.

I started playing around with some floral themed origami this week.  Blossoms just in time for spring.  There are also some new paper spring blossom post earrings (pictured at the end of this post) up in the Etsy shop.  Enjoy the sunny days and milder weather.  I can’t wait to ride my bike in shorts.  Peace.
