Busiest Months Ever! RAW: Natural Born Artists SENSORY
It has been months since I have posted anything on here. I’ve been so busy with my Etsy shop and the busiest months to date since I started FoldIT Creations back in November 2012. I am very proud to say that 2015 has gotten off to a great start and I see nothing but growth with my business, which is very satisfying for a small business owner. I am now selling online with another site that is locally based out of Toronto called The Noteworthys, and my jewelry is also available in Barrie, Ontario at the MaClaren Art Centre Gallery Shop. I am thrilled about the opportunity to diversify where I sell my creations and moving off the internet to sell locally within the Province.
In May I had the privilege of being a part of the Toronto launch of RAW: Natural Born Artists SENSORY show at the Mod Club. It was a night time event from 8pm-2am, showcasing over 40 locally based artists working in various mediums, from painting, fashion designers, to performance and makeup artists. It was a great experience to meet so many other people who work in so many different mediums of expression all under one roof.

Better Late than Never!
Hey everyone! I have been incredibly MIA as of late and too busy to post on the FoldIT Creations blog. Between juggling my 2 day jobs, making things and doing shows its been a bit of a time management challenge (oh and I was in Mexico too!). I have just finished my art teaching job for the summer and soon will finish at the the cafe I work at and move back to Kawarthas region of Ontario where I will teach English and work as a live-in camp counsellor/ teacher for the summer. I can’t wait. Campfires, boating on the lake, archery and all that fun summer stuff I did as a kid. The Etsy shop will be closed as of the 22nd of June and will open up again in late August for business so if there is anything you have been eyeing for summer get your order in before the 22nd and you should be fine.
This past weekend was filled with Etsy related fun. On Friday I attended the really fun Etsy Craft Party here in Toronto at Sew Be It Studio (thanks for the gracious hosting). We came, we drank, we crafted! With an emphasis on the drinking and crafting! Nothing like red wine and glitter (I’ve been dusting if off me for days). It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of new people from the Etsy community which is always nice when you have been shut up for weeks making things. This weekend was also the Annual Toronto Etsy Street Team Springtime Marketplace. I did this one last year and it is always a well planned event with lots of other Toronto-based Etsians showcasing their goods offline. Thanks for all the hard work to those who organized! 🙂
Finally, on Sunday we were at the Annex Flea right here in my Toronto neighbourhood. Throughout the summer it will be taking place behind Honest Ed’s in the parking parking lot rain or shine… this week it rained! However, only those awesome hardcore people came out and that made our day! FoldIT Creations shared a tent with the new to the handmade-scene Jinny Wong of Fuzzy Belly Creations. It was a pleasure to share a tent with these awesome people and their cute little baby boy who was so easy going. We hope to see you again <3.
And enough typing…. here are some photos! 🙂 XO

FoldIT’s First Fine Silver Origami Crane Necklaces
Finally after what seemed like eternity waiting for my PMC sheet silver and Kiln which were held up in customs at the Canada-US border, they arrived over the weekend and I didn’t waste a minute. I was pretty happy to get them photographed and up in the shop before Sunday was over. The first pair of fine silver earrings and necklace sold within 2 hours of posting the listing. I am still waiting on my cabochon gemstones from Thailand and a few other tools before I can begin setting stones in my work. Check out the etsy page for more.

The NEW FoldIT Creations Online Shop is up! ^_^
Hey All. So I decided to open a secondary FoldIT shop via Shopify.com. I had been hearing a lot of people talking about it recently and then a few days back Venture One sent me an invite to try it so I took this as a synchronicity. The universe was sending me a message to open an independent shop from the etsy shop. This doesn’t mean I will be closing my etsy shop, but rather I am expanding. I’ve had a lot of people say they were interested in buying things but really didn’t want to make an etsy account. The new shop allows people to shop as guests. No signup necessary.
Here are a few screen grabs of the new FoldIT Creations shop at folditcreations.com. I still haven’t decided on a background motif yet. Any suggestions?
